Mizzou’s Athletic Director sent in this email

MizzoU Mad?

After checking the ol’ inbox at around 5 PM today, I found this. The Mizzou Athletic Director sent me an email about a picture that was posted. The picture was in poor taste and it was reposted on here. Mizzou may want to learn to get thicker skin in they are going to be in the SEC. Not only did I receive this email, but the official Mizzou athletics site’s Twitter account sent this in a day before. I guess they didn’t like how I responded to them.

Here is the tweet:

Here is the email with the name of the Mizzou AD’s name redacted:

This email comes to you in reference to an item promoted on “throwtheflagblog.com”. In looking at the website, it was suggested that in order to contact you, we should email ParadigmShift35@gmail.com. We are referring specifically to the item presented in the attachment.

Please be aware that this came to my attention about 30 minutes ago. The depiction of our logo and that of the SEC in the format suggested is not consistent with the values of the University of Missouri. We in no way support or condone your use of our logo in this manner. It is personally offensive and a misrepresentation of our University.

I am forwarding my email and personal thoughts to various members of our University community as well as the leadership of the Southeastern Conference. Any communication from our University going forward will be done through our licensing and appropriate areas pertaining to this misuse of our mark.

We want to insure that you know that we are asking for you to eliminate this depiction immediately. This is inappropriate and not supported by the values of Respect, Responsibility, Discovery and Excellence at the University of Missouri. Further, it is completely contrary to our representation of our values through our “OneMizzou” initiative.

Thank you.
