Tom O’Brien, the North Carolina State Head Coach, tried to seem hip with the times at a function and used the Washington National’s Bryce Harper line “That’s a clown question, bro”. This came from a interview with Bryce Harper where a reporter asked Harper a question he did not like. He responded with that line which has become a huge meme on the internet.
Tom O’Brien isn’t the youngest or “hip” coach in the college football and this joke kind was definitely told to the wrong audience who probably had no idea what he was talking about. It’s just nice to know that Tom O’Brien actually knows that quote. I would have put money on that fact that he wouldn’t even have known who Bryce Harper was.
There is a reason we nicknamed Tom O’Brien “The Notrious T.O.B.” and this is it. Maybe one of his players told him.
