Washington State’s compliance department reiterates why you shouldn’t tweet recruits

Every send an @ mention or an @ reply to recruits on Twitter? Well, don’t unless you want to commit an NCAA violation. Washington State’s compliance department clarified this again today.

Boosters: Please DO NOT @mention/@reply recruits, whether they’ve signed or not. Doing so will result in an NCAA violation. Thank you!!!

Not only is it creepy but why are you talking to some 17 year old kid on the Internet? Maybe go outside. Throw a football. Spend time looking at LOLCAT pictures. Yeah, it’s hard to police. Yeah, it doesn’t hurt anyone. But why take the chance for absolutely no reward?
