This screenshot of the American Eagle Outfitter’s store shows an elephant (The Alabama Crimson Tide’s mascot) with what looks to be an Auburn Tiger logo on it. They may have stirred up an already intense rivalry that has been documented on ESPN’s “Roll Tide / War Eagle.”
I’m sure this will anger Crimson Tide fans as much as it will Tiger fans. Expect to see this removed soon if it hasn’t been already.
UPDATE: A commenter that appears to be American Eagle left us this. We apologize for any mistakes.
School spirit is out there and strong! We’re sure many of you has seen the mini-controvery surrounding our AEO Alabama Vintage V-Neck T. Well don’t worry. The logo you see on this shirt is actually a vintage Alabama logo that was used from 1952-1985 and can be found here:http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/597. While it looks similar to an Auburn logo, we guarantee you it’s not. And now you know something that just might net you your next trivia night win!
That is actually an Alabama logo from the 50′s.
Even funnier if it became Auburn’s logo

Welp. There you have it. Story will be amended.
